Serve quickly or take your time?
Serve to a routine: same bounce, same breath, same rhythm. Quicker when winning, steadier when not, never rushed.
You have the ball in hand. How much time should you take before serving, and does it change during the match?
Serve to a routine: same bounce, same breath, same rhythm. Quicker when winning, steadier when not, never rushed.
Why
The serve is the only shot in padel you hit from a standstill, on your own timing, which makes it the one shot where a routine pays off directly. A consistent pre-serve routine, the same number of bounces, a breath, a look at the target, produces a consistent serve. Within that routine, tempo can be used: when your pair has momentum, keep the points coming a little quicker; when you have lost two or three in a row, take the full routine and one extra breath to reset. What never works is rushing, because a rushed serve is a different swing from the one you practised.
What this means at your level
Beginner
Pick a routine: bounce twice, breathe, look at the target, serve. Do it every single time.
Intermediate
After a lost point, take one extra breath before you start the routine. Not longer: one breath.
Advanced
Read the returner's readiness too. A returner who is still adjusting position when you are ready to serve is a returner who is not settled. Serve on your rhythm, but notice theirs.

Why not as fast as possible, to rush the returner?
Rushing the returner rushes you too, and rushed serves miss. The returner must be ready anyway.
What should a beginner do here?
Pick a routine: bounce twice, breathe, look at the target, serve. Do it every single time.
How does this change for an advanced player?
Read the returner's readiness too. A returner who is still adjusting position when you are ready to serve is a returner who is not settled. Serve on your rhythm, but notice theirs.
