The rebound comes to your backhand side. What changes?
Backhand off the glass: turn more, lob deep, recover. It is a control shot, not an attacking one.
A ball rebounds off the back glass toward your backhand. How does the shot differ from the forehand version?
Backhand off the glass: turn more, lob deep, recover. It is a control shot, not an attacking one.
Why
Most players have less power and reach on the backhand, and the ball off the back glass on that side is harder to attack. The adjustment is more shoulder turn, so you can see the ball and get the racket back, and a simpler shot selection: a deep lob or a controlled ball through the middle, rarely a drive. Two-handed backhands are less common in padel because the wall play needs the reach of one hand. Once the backhand lob off the glass is reliable, the backhand side stops being a target, which is the whole point.
What this means at your level
Beginner
On the backhand side off the wall, turn your shoulders more and lift the ball high and deep. Nothing else for now.
Intermediate
Use the non-hitting hand to guide the racket back during the turn. It keeps the preparation compact and early.
Advanced
The sliced backhand lob off the glass is the most reliable defensive ball in the game. Slice keeps it controlled and it floats deep; practise it until it is automatic.
